Animal Based Waffles or Buns for Sandwiches
This recipe will make four mini waffles or one large Belgium waffle. It is flour-free so they are Gluten-free and the kids will never know the difference.
You will need
2 bowls, one for wet and 1 for dry ingredients
Butter or ghee to grease your waffle maker or pan
Wet ingredients in the first bowl
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon of Pure Vanilla
Mix the eggs and vanilla well with whisk.
In the second bowl mix your dry ingredients
1 Tablespoon of gelatin
2 Tablespoons of grass-fed Whey or you could use your favorite Protein Powder
1/4 of a teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnamon (optional)
1/8 of a teaspoon of Salt
Combined the dry ingredients together well with a dry whisk or spoon.
Combine your dry ingredients into the wet ingredient bowl and blend well with a hand mixer. If you’ve got a good arm, you can also just whisk the heck out of it until smooth. Go ahead and take a scraper and scape off the side to make sure we’re not missing anything and blend again.
Once well blended heat up your waffle maker. You can also make pancakes out of this batter. They work very well as pancakes like you would normally cook pancakes in a skillet or you can get a flat waffle maker that makes flat pancakes. These make great Carnivore Sandwich Buns as well.
Use Butter or Ghee to grease your waffle maker or pan. Pour in the mixture and spread it evenly. If you’re using the mini waffle maker, use about 1/4 of a cup per waffle and spread it evenly. The mixture will start to thicken quickly, because of the gelatin. If you double or triple this batch, just add a little water to thin the mixture as you’re cooking. Cook in your waffle maker till done or in a skillet if doing pancakes like you would normally cook your pancakes. These are delicious and the best Carnivore Waffles / Pancakes we’ve ever tasted!
Enjoy and don’t forget these make great Chicken and Waffle Carnivore Buns or if you use the flat Pancake Waffle maker it makes great Carnivore Buns for Hamburgers.
These can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days and easily frozen in an air tight container. Just make sure they are cooled before freezing so they don’t stick together in the freezer.
